okie.. here it is, EPL predictions for today!! i'll be predicting all the big four today. see how accurate can i be!!
Everton VS Manchester United
well... what can i say about my favourite team? i know they have not been performing well with Rooney's injury and Ronaldo suspension. Now, Ronaldo is back from suspension and Rooney will be on the bench, i hope. i still it's still too early for Rooney to be back from injury. i feel that he needs to have at least a game to be sure that he's ready for the midweek Champion's League. upfront we have Saha. i don't really like Saha because he can't really play through pain barrier. i hoped that he can do something upfront today since Tevez would likely be played today. Everton has been sensationally good for the past 2 seasons already and they're no minnows like the last time. ever since Moyes taken over, Everton looked pretty dangerous when visitors come to Goodison Park. Mcfadden scored during the international week against France so he may get a starting lineup tonight. Lescott, Neville and Johnsono came back from international duty unscathed and Howard got a finger injury so their 2nd keeper would be on standby if he can recover from it.
My predictions: Everton 1 VS 2 Manchester United
Portsmouth VS Liverpool
Portsmouth are strong at home but due to their injuries list it could prove to be hard for them to go against the current leaders on the table. Campbell is back from injury and could be a starter for the game and their new signing Diop might get to start. Liverpool has to worry for Gerrard because he played England's 2 international duties for them without an aid of an injection therefore he could be a doubt for the game. Carragher is expected to start after a rib injury that put him out since the start of the season.
My predictions: Portsmouth 0 VS 1 Liverpool
Spurs VS Arsenal
ah.. the north London derby game. who doesn't love London Derbies? always with tackles flying from all directions and maybe goals galore too. well for this case in this derby. it will tackles flying everywhere and maybe a couple of spectacular goals will be scored here. not surprised 1 of the goal of week contentions. Spurs have most of their injuries list personnels back. leading the pack is Lennon. he may or may not start due to match fitness if he's fit then i will say the Gunners have someone to worry. Bent, Gardner and Dawson are also back. Bent could prove himself useful upfront and the 2 central defenders could prove themselves useful too after that horrible display away at Craven Cottage. Leading 3-1 then all of a sudden they lost the plot and let Fulham came back 3-3. Ledley King could be the deciding factor for Spurs contention for a Champion's League spot this season so hopefully they can dent some hopes onto the Gunners today. the Gunners has been in fantastic form since the start of the season with van Persie leading the goals upfront and Fabregas controlling the midfield pretty well. Diarra could be given a start due to Gilberto Silva late arrival back from international duties. then again, Senderos who received a red card in their last game is out. Silva might be pushed back as a covering central defender. Almunia most likely would be starting tonight in front of goal because of fumbling Lehmann's elbow injury. for the whole game, i think if Spurs can't control their midfield tonight, they can kiss this game goodbye as Jol's managerial post is already on the chopping board and 1 more lost could deal the chopper down on him.
My prediction: Spurs 1 VS 1 Arsenal (yes, i'm being biased here.. so what, i hate the gooners and i hope they die.. wahahahahah..)
Chelsea VS Blackburn
Chelsea has number of players to rotate with after the international week. doubtful now are Drogba and Lampard. Drogba failed to recover from the knee injury he picked against Aston Villa in their last game. no worries, they have Shevchenko and Pizarro for a lone striker upfront. Lampard is doubtful and he fall out of favour in the England's 2 international games so he maybe starting for the Blues. Blackburn are doing decently for a team known for their roughness in their games and everything but they have a full strength to pick from. surely for sure, their top goal scorer Santa Cruz would be starting and his partner in crime upfront is McCarthy. they would be without their tough tackling defensive midfielder Tugay after receiving a red card in their last game. Chelsea are looking for a win after their 1st loss away for the season and Blackburn are looking to extend their lead after unexpectedly winning against Man City.
my prediction: Chlesea 2 VS 1 Blackburn
that's all. don't be surprised that my predictions are way off. because of last week's internationals duties, a lot of players would be jet lagged so it would be kinda of tough for players to play immediately. but you can try your hands on it la..
